![]() I have only gotten this far with testing codes on VM VB with your help. ![]() Now that I can produce a BOOTABLE WinXP, I will try to include other Addons to the code and see if I can produce a desirable, BOOTABLE ISO. The version of the WinXPSP3 ISO I am using is a bare-bones copy. ![]() ![]() I see there is an Add button under VM which brings up "Select a VM file." An Office file I tried to test earlier is listed can I add this? Now that I can install WinXP on the VM, back to a previous question: Can I install UNBOOTABLE OfficeXP over/on the WinXP which is being installed? And, must I fully install WinXP before I can/should try to install OfficeXP? You indicated concerns with both nLite and RVM Integration, and I assume RVM Office Integration as well. It seems I cannot install WinXP without formatting the v HDD. As I understood your comment, I should not format the V disk. Method 1: Manually Add an IDE Controller select the option of choose disk Method 2: Check the Bootable Medium select your virtual optical disk file Method 3. I did start the installation of Win XPSP3, and paused it where it wants to format the virtual HDD. If this looks practical and possible, would you indicate where I can find the info needed to do it. Does the XPSP3 package need to run thru installation or is it sufficient just to load on the guest HDD? And somehow, if possible, load the OfficeXP into the VM over the XPSP3 package.Ħ. My plan, for which I would like your comments, is to use the nLite bootable XPSP3 to load onto the VB.ĥ. Since the RVM codes were unbootable, they have failed to run at any time in VM.Ĥ. As a side note, I used nLite to produce a BOOTABLE XPSP3 package which ran on VM when reduced to only the XP and SP3 packages without Addons.ģ. I have been trying to use RVM Integrator to produce UNBOOTABLE XPSP3 packages and RVM Office Integrator to produce UNBOOTABLE OfficeXP packages.Ģ. I would like to present some errors in approach and get your response.ġ. It seems I have made a number of fundamental errors in trying to use VM to test WinXP OS and Programs (e.g., MS OfficeXP).
